As part of my master's in fine art, I've been working alongside my daughter, Simone Baugh, a professional illustrator. We've created a series of artist's cards that narrate the tale of the Elder Mother Tree, drawing inspiration from local legends. These cards will be unveiled at the Crickhowell Open Studios, held at St Edmund's Church from the 25th to the 27th of May, 2024, aligning with the forthcoming May bank holiday weekend. Furthermore, our creations will be showcased at the Oriel Cric Gallery as part of the Open Art Competition, which will take place from May 24th until July 14th. Our journey has centred on producing new art pieces and delving into the essence of our collective heritage, demonstrating the profound impact of collaboration.
